Kell Brook's Assault Charge 15th July 2010

On 15 July 2010 Brook was sentenced to serve a curfew tagging order for violent assault following an incident in a Barnsley night club,

Kell Brook was found guilty of assaulting a bar manager after he attempted to stop the boxer from entering the ladies toilet with his friend. Brook swore at the manager before punching him in the ribs and then catching him in the jaw before escaping through the clubs fire exit. In sentencing the judge took note to a letter from Brooks manager Frank Warren which said that a community sentence would interfere with his preparation for the fight with Jennings.

The curfew tagging order restricts Brooks movements confining him to his house between 8pm and 6am.
